Zico House hosted on December 21 the theatrical performance BLEU by Anna Lemonaki.
Man has always been invaded by anguish, the cause of which has changed over the centuries since its appearance. It is different to be anxious because we learn that the earth is not flat but round, that we risk falling into the void, than to be anxious because we listen to our own heart which beats too fast , who is thought to be having a heart attack. There was a time when it was the lack of knowledge that worried Man and nowadays, it is an overflow of knowledge that is anxiety-provoking. Bleu deals with endogenous and exogenous anxiety, with all the symptoms it generates, through the prism of a raw, naive text underpinned by the primitive energy of Rock’n’roll.
Anna was born in Athens in 1982. She grows up in Panama, Crete and Athens. She studies at the Serge Martin Theater School (Geneva). She attends workshops with Susan Batson at Interkunst (Berlin), Andreas Manolikakis (Actors Studio NY) in Athens and Damian De Schrijver in Geneva in 2018.
Anna is a performer in Vive la mariée (2013), in The first Blood (2015) and in Cry (2018-2021) at Théâtre Saint-Gervais, Geneva. She founds the experimental theatre music company Cie Bleu in Haut Bleu en Bas with the musician Samuel Schmidiger in 2015 and presents the two first parts of her tetralogy BLEU and FUCHSIA SAIGNANT at La Bâtie festival in 2019, and the third part, BLANC at Le Grütli in 2021.
