On Wednesday 10 December at 6pm, Zico House will be opening Bêtises, Annie Kurkdjian’s exhibition which will be on show until 23 December.
Born in 1972, Annie Kurkdjian grew up in an Armenian family in a Beirut hit by the civil war. After studying management, art, psychology and theology, she exhibited her first paintings in 2005, circulating in France, Lebanon, Bahrain and Jordan. Her paintings are first and foremost the work and image of violence: “Art is capable of sublimating everything, war, crime, shame, illness and total hell“, she explains (comments collected on the artist’s website).
This exhibition was organized by Zico House (Beirut).
