For seven months, Zico House has been dusting off the greatest moments of its 27 years of activity. As part of this historical project, Michele Paulikevitch and Samar Kehdy are invited to present “In Concert in my heart. Memories and Stories” on 07/06/2022 at 8:00 pm. This lecture will be the retrospective of a vast musical program which animated the cultural scene from 2002 till 2010.
Samar Kehdy earned a B.A. in Video Art. While working on her degree Kehdy founded “In Concert,” an organization dedicated to providing opportunities for musicians to showcase their works to diverse audiences utilizing conventional, unconventional and public spaces across Lebanon.In 2010, Kehdy founded “Taxi Orient,” a Belgium-based music association designed to support musicians from the Middle East and to introduce Belgian audiences to different perspectives of Middle Eastern cultures through music. Between 2009 and 2011, Kehdy was the administrator and grant manager of the Young Arab Theatre Fund in Brussels, an international organization designed to serve independent spaces and young artists living and working in the Arab World.By the end of 2011, Kehdy was in charge of a study to define the artistic orientation and the positioning of the performing arts department of MuCEM (Musée des Civilizations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée). For the last 10 years, Kehdy was the performing arts curator at Mucem.
