The art project I am a survivor shows six paintings that depict the stories of survivors. This exhibition takes place at Zico House from February 13 to 23.
The six exhibiting artists created their artwork only based upon a recorded audiotape of a personal testimony of the survivors. Thereby the statements of the survivors not only include such on the Lebanese civil war but also on more recent events such as the Lebanon War of 2006, the ongoing conflict in Syria or domestic violence and abuse. Christopher Ibrahim and Ali Khedr will accompany the opening of the exhibition with their piano and trumpet.
The artists are : Lea Azar, Sarah Sayouf, Khalil El Hakim, Louma Rabbah, Aida Hussein and Shadi Alaiek.
يعرض مشروع فني “أنا أحد الناجين” ست لوحات تصوّر قصص الناجين. ابتكر الفنانون العارضون الستة أعمالهم الفنية فقط بناءً على تسجيل صوتي لشهادة شخصية لأحد الناجين. وبالتالي ، فإن تصريحات الناجين لا تشمل فقط مثل هذا الحديث عن الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية، بل تشمل أيضًا الأحداث الأخيرة مثل حرب لبنان عام ٢٠٠٦ ، أو الصراع الدائر في سوريا ، أو العنف الأسري وسوء المعاملة
