From April 3 to 6, 2003, some concerts and workshops of free improvisation took place at the Zico House, with the musicians Stephane Rives, Edward Perraud, Mazen Kerbaj, Christine Sehnaoui and their band Rouba3i3. This event was organized by MILL (Musique Improvisee Libre au Liban).
Edward Perraud is a French percussionist, who studied percussion and musicology. He has a long experience in jazz and free improvisation. For some years, he has followed a formation in Indian music.
Stéphane Rives is also a French musician, who studied classical piano and then saxophone.
Mazen Kerbaj is a Lebanese jazz trumpeter, visual and comic artist. He has written more than 15 books and his work has been translated into more than ten languages throughout the world. He is widely considered as one of the initiators and key players of the Lebanese free improvisation and experimental music scene. He is co-founder and active member of MILL, and co-founder of Al Maslakh, the first label for experimental music in the region operating since 2005.
Christine Sehnaoui is a Lebanese saxophonist who lives in Paris. After discovering improvised music, she began a process of self-taught study and sound experimentation using the alto saxophone. She has played solo or with many other different artists around the world.. She has released more than ten cds and has collaborated with visual art, dance, literature, poetry, as well as projects with noise, electronics, rock or free jazz.

من الثالث و حتى السادس من شهر نيسان عام ٢٠٠٣، أقيمت حفلات موسيقيّة و مشاغل ارتجال حرّ في زيكو هاوس Zicco House، مع العازفين “ستيفان ريفز”، “ادوارد بيرو”، “مازن كرباج” و “كريستين صحناوي” و مجموعتهم “رباعي ٣”. تمّ تنظيم هذا الحدث من قبل MILL (موسيقى مرتجلة حرّة في لبنان).
“ادوارد بيرو” هو عازف إيقاع فرنسيّ الجنسيّة، درس علم الموسيقى و الإيقاع. لديه خبرة كبيرة في الجاز و الإرتجال الحرّ. منذ بضع سنوات، تابع أداءﹰا للموسيقى الهنديّة.
“ستيفان ريفز” هو أيضا عازف فرنسيّ، درس البيانو الكلاسيكيّ ثم السكسوفون.
“مازن كرباج” هو عازف بوق و جاز لبنانيّ، فنان بصريّ و فنّان رسوم متحرّكة. ألّف أكثر من خمسة عشر كتابا، و قد تمّت ترجمة أعماله إلى أكثر من عشر لغات حول العالم. و يعتبر بشكل كبير أحد أهمّ الممثلين الأساسيين في المسرح اللبنانيّ من ناحية الارتجال الحرّ و الموسيقى التجريبيّة. شارك في تأسيس MILL، و هو عضو فاعل فيها، كذلك شارك في تأسيس “المسلخ”، أوّل تسمية فعّالة للموسيقى التجريبية في المنطقة منذ عام ٢٠٠٥.
“كريستين صحناوي” هي عازفة سكسوفون لبنانيّة تعيش في باريس. بعد اكتشافها للموسيقى المرتجلة، بدأت عمليّة دراسة و تجريب صوتيّ لوحدها بواسطة “ألتو سكسوفون”. لعبت بمفردها و مع العديد من الفنانين حول العالم. أصدرت العديد من الأقراص المدمجة و تعاونت مع العديد من الفنون البصريّة، الرقص، الأدب و الشعر. و كانت أيضا جزءﹰا مهمّا من مشاريع تختصّ بالصوت، الإلكترونيات، الروك و الجاز.
