From January 19 to 22, 2017, the exhibition Out of Space by Donald Caduff was held at Zico House.
Based on an artist’s exchange program among Switzerland and Lebanon, Swiss-Rumantsch artist Donat Caduff will be showing the work he created during his 3-months stay in Beirut. The title of the exhibition Out of space reflects the idea of a workspace of an artist-in-residence beyond a common environment. The show is made up of photographs, drawings and text work. It will run at Zico House in Beirut from January 19 to 22 and later on in Switzerland.
About the Artist
Donat Caduff was born in Graubünden, Switzerland, in 1982. He graduated in 2008 as a graphic designer at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Afterwards, he worked for different design studios in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy. At the same time, he started to develop self-initiated projects in the fields of photography and illustration. The main characteristic of Donat Caduff’s work is that he explores urban environments and their shifting contexts in daily life.

عن الفنان
ولد دونات كادوف في مدينة غراوبوندن بسويسرا عام ١٩٨٢. عام ٢٠٠٨، تخرج كمصمم جرافيك من أكاديمية جيريت ريتفيلد في أمستردام. بعد ذلك ، عمل في العديد من استوديوهات التصميم في هولندا وسويسرا وإيطاليا. في الوقت نفسه ، بدأ بتطوير مشاريع بمبادرة ذاتية في مجالات التصوير الفوتوغرافي والتوضيح. السمة الرئيسية لعمل دونات كادوف هي أنه يستكشف البيئات الحضرية وسياقاتها المتغيرة في الحياة اليومية
