Trabeat is a music project that draws heavily from the traditions of classical Middle Eastern music.
Ṭarabeat achieves its unique sound by supplementing traditional instruments such as Oud, Nay, Qanun, Santur, Violin, Tar, and Riq with sequencers, digital synthesizers, that are programmed to faithfully play Maqams. The result is an energetic blend of dance music, heavily inspired by Tarab, Sufi, Oldies and other regional folk music.
