About the artist:
Ramy K. Saad’s fascination with raw materials shaped his practice. At a point in his career and out of a desire for isolation, he entered symbioses with his environment. The matter was how to represent a landscape from its own elements. This call was the starting point of his artistic research. That’s when he dived into natural pigment extraction from plants collected in his childhood village, Deir Mimas, South Lebanon.
About the Curator:
Rayane Raidi is an artist and curator in pursuit of innovation in the art world. Her connection to Ramy goes way back to 2008 when they were both just university students. Since then, she has been following his entire artistic journey.
